Kalamaki Beach
Kalamaki beach is located on the north of the island near Kassiopi.
It's well known for its very shallow water and so it's perfect for families with small children. A very clean, long, sandy beach, which is generally pretty quiet and doesn't get too overcrowded.
The road down is a little steep, so just take it easy when in a car.
There are various activities for you to do while on the beach, including paddleboards, kayaks or pedalos.
You can hire sunbeds and an umbrella for approximately 10€.
This beach is also known for turtles; they come here to lay their eggs, so if you're lucky enough you might see some hatching. But please do adhere to the rules and do not interfere or interact with the turtles. Some areas are closed off for the safety of the animals.
